Myco-leather Jacket “VIHA”

VIHA – natural reference points and markers used by Ukrainians to avoid getting lost in the forest while mushroom hunting.

For the first time in Ukraine, Gaptuvalnya has created a jacket made of myco-leather, thus establishing a new stage in fashion and setting an example of environmental consciousness.

Myco-leather – a material made from fungal mycelium that forms strong, lightweight and flexible network structures that replace animal leather in their properties.

The black myco-leather base of the jacket resembles the bark of forest trees, while the sewn-on elements reflect those very landmarks of our ancestors – the “vikhy”
